I wound up submitting 4 cards to the Single Fare show. I'm not yet sure if any sold, but none had within the first hours. (Editing Sean: 3 of 4 sold) There was a lot of competition! Hundreds of artists and over 2000 cards. Most of the work was figurative and many of the artists alumni of New York Academy of Art. Certainly some of the artists were familiar with painting at such a tiny scale. There were artists from all career levels represented and a raffle for works by some of the most notable artists.
I mentioned earlier how fun it was breaking out pens and paints to focus on some non-digital maze drawing. I've continued the process and will post more of that effort soon.
While researching Singlefare, I discovered other artists who submitted work. I was able to pick some of the pieces out at the show and see new beautiful stuff. You should follow these artists too. I've linked to their Instagram pages.

Single Fare

Alyssa Monks- One of the main champions of the show. Her portraits of women distorted by water, soap, steam and glass are riveting.

Alex Kanevsky - Superstar painter who's 2 cards were up for raffle. I didn't win.

Reisha Perlmutter- Typically paints large scale oils of women swimming in pools. She said this was the smallest painting she ever made!

Dina Brodsky- Miniaturist painter who's landscape and bird cards are off the hook. She knows her stuff! Very popular.

Nicolas V. Sanchez- Awarded artist who works in oil and colored ballpoint. His 20 cows are magical and lush and were a big hit.

Lisa Lebofsky- Paints waves, surf and ice. All her work is majestic, even at 3.4 x 2.1 inches.

Guno Park - NYAA professor who's amazing ballpoint gorillas were in the show. I met him!

Jeff Faerber - Illustrator and painter who offered classic NYC water towers in his painterly drawing style. All his work is just as rich, sometimes NSFW.

Sadi Tekin- NYC illustrator who's cards I was really looking forward to, but somehow got misplaced before hanging. Curses! But now I follow his work and his Etsy shop. He draws fun buildings and cats and cat-buildings and clever puns.

Chris Leib- Badass illustrator who paints bonobos and spacemen and all kinds of groovy stuff. On the figurative surrealism scale in an old-school, 70's kind of way. I'm a fan.

James Adelman- NYAA professor who's mysterious foggy environments are even cooler in person.

Matt Stanton - These beautiful NYC toys are just the bomb. Sadly, my budget had run out before they were all snatched up.

Julianna Wells - Her group of plant studies is super smart. A student who also volunteered at the show. Follow her career, go to her openings, buy her work.

Diana Corvelle- Tiny women on tiny cards. They read feminist books and vote. Again, insane miniaturist skills and magnificent in real life.

James French - These scratchboard cats are great.

Lisa Fiore - I love her California landscape expressionism. And another card I lost due to having a budget. But I can still stalk her work online... How soon until Singlefare5?
